This Privacy Policy explains how Ninth Games (“Ninth Games,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information in connection with the video game HoloCozy, its official website, and related services.

By using HoloCozy or its related services, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Handle

1.1 Google Calendar Data

Connecting a Google account is optional. HoloCozy can be used without connecting to Google Calendar.

If you choose to connect Google Calendar, HoloCozy may access:

• Your list of Google calendars

• Calendar names and identifiers

• Calendar event titles

• Event descriptions and locations

• Event start and end times

• Event reminder and scheduling information

• Information required to create, update, or delete events when you explicitly request these actions

HoloCozy uses this information only to:

• Display calendar events inside the in-game calendar

• Provide schedule and reminder notifications

• Allow you to create, update, or delete calendar events

• Synchronize changes between HoloCozy and Google Calendar

HoloCozy does not require access to Gmail, Google Drive, Google Contacts, or other unrelated Google services.

1.2 Google Authorization Credentials

When you connect Google Calendar, authorization credentials such as access tokens and refresh tokens are stored locally on your device in encrypted form.

These credentials are used only to maintain the Google Calendar connection you authorized. They are not intentionally transmitted to or stored on servers operated by Ninth Games.

1.3 Local Game Data

HoloCozy may store the following information locally on your device:

• Game settings and language preferences

• Save data and game progress

• Locally cached calendar events

• Reminder settings

• Audio and display preferences

• Other information required for game functionality

This information normally remains on your device unless you use a platform feature that synchronizes game data, such as a supported Steam feature.

1.4 Technical Information

When HoloCozy communicates with online infrastructure used for features such as public livestream status, the infrastructure provider may automatically process limited technical information, including:

• IP address

• Request date and time

• Requested endpoint

• General device or network information

• Error and security logs

This information is used only to operate, secure, maintain, and troubleshoot the relevant service.

HoloCozy does not use this information to build advertising profiles.

1.5 Website Information

Our website may be hosted using Wix or another website service provider. The hosting provider may process technical data and use necessary cookies for security, website functionality, analytics, or service operation.

Please refer to the relevant provider’s privacy documentation for additional information about its data practices.

2. How We Use Information

We use information only when necessary to:

• Provide HoloCozy’s game features

• Display and manage calendar information requested by the user

• Deliver schedule and livestream notifications

• Save user preferences and progress

• Maintain the security and reliability of our services

• Diagnose technical errors

• Respond to support requests

• Comply with applicable legal obligations

We do not sell personal information or Google user data.

We do not use Google Calendar data for advertising, credit evaluation, surveillance, or training artificial intelligence models.

3. Google API Services User Data Policy

HoloCozy’s use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Google user data is used only to provide user-facing calendar and reminder features that are visible within HoloCozy.

Google user data is not transferred to advertising platforms, data brokers, or information resellers.

Ninth Games personnel do not access a user’s Google Calendar data unless:

• The user has provided explicit permission for a specific support request;

• Access is necessary to investigate security abuse;

• Access is required by applicable law; or

• The information has been aggregated and anonymized in accordance with applicable law.

4. Data Storage and Security

Google authorization credentials and cached Google Calendar information are stored locally in encrypted form.

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards intended to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. However, no storage or transmission system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Users are responsible for maintaining the security of their device and Google account.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell or rent personal information.

Information may be processed by third-party service providers only when necessary to operate HoloCozy or its website, including:

• Google, for Google Calendar authorization and API services

• Valve and Steam, for game distribution and platform services

• Wix, if used to host the official website

• Cloud infrastructure providers used to operate public game services

These providers process information according to their own terms and privacy policies.

We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to:

• Comply with applicable law or a valid legal request

• Protect the security and integrity of HoloCozy

• Prevent fraud, abuse, or security threats

• Protect the rights and safety of users or others

6. Data Retention and Deletion

Google authorization credentials remain on your device until you disconnect Google Calendar, clear the relevant game data, uninstall the game, or otherwise remove the locally stored data.

When you disconnect Google Calendar through HoloCozy:

• HoloCozy attempts to revoke the Google authorization;

• Locally stored authorization credentials are deleted; and

• HoloCozy stops requesting new Google Calendar information.

Previously cached calendar events may remain available offline until you select “Clear Google Offline Data” in the game settings or remove the relevant local game data.

You can also manage or revoke HoloCozy’s access through your Google Account’s third-party connection settings:

7. Children’s Privacy

HoloCozy is not directed primarily toward children under the age of 13.

Google Calendar connection is optional, and users can access the game without connecting a Google account.

If you believe that a child has provided personal information inappropriately, please contact us so that we can review the situation.

8. International Processing

Third-party platform and infrastructure providers may process information in countries or regions outside your place of residence. Their handling of information is governed by their respective privacy policies and applicable laws.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when HoloCozy’s features, data practices, or legal obligations change.

The updated version will be published on this page with a revised “Last Updated” date. If a change materially affects how Google user data is used, we will provide appropriate notice and request consent where required.
