HoloCozy Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of the video game HoloCozy, its official website and related services.

HoloCozy is developed by Ninth Games (“we”, “us” or “our”).

By downloading, installing, accessing or using HoloCozy, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use HoloCozy.

1. HoloCozy licence

Subject to your compliance with these Terms and the rules of the platform through which you obtained the game, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to install and use HoloCozy solely for personal, non-commercial entertainment.

You do not acquire ownership of HoloCozy, its software, content or intellectual property.

2. Demos and prerelease versions

Demos, test versions, previews and other prerelease versions of HoloCozy may:

  • Contain unfinished or experimental features
  • Contain bugs or compatibility issues
  • Differ from the final released version
  • Change or remove features, content or saved data
  • Stop working after a specified period
  • Be updated without prior notice

Features available in a demo or prerelease version are not guaranteed to be included in the final release.

3. Game updates

For reasonable development, licensing, security, legal compliance or service-operation needs, we may update, modify, rebalance, replace, suspend or discontinue some game features.

Updates may change game parameters, supported content, compatibility, online features or saved data.

4. Google Calendar connection

Connecting Google Calendar is optional.

If you choose to connect Google Calendar, you authorise HoloCozy to access and manage your calendar information within the permissions shown on Google's authorisation screen.

Depending on your actions, HoloCozy may:

  • Read your calendar list and events
  • Display events in the in-game calendar
  • Create new calendar events
  • Update existing events
  • Delete events you select
  • Provide schedule notifications

You are responsible for checking that event information is correct before saving, modifying or deleting an event.

We are not responsible for incorrect event information, missed notifications, synchronisation delays or data changes caused by account permissions, network interruptions, third-party service conditions or user input.

You can disconnect Google Calendar at any time through the game settings or your Google Account.

5. Third-party services

HoloCozy may interact with third-party platforms or services such as Google, YouTube, Steam, Wix and infrastructure providers.

When using those services, you may also be subject to their respective terms of use and privacy policies.

We do not control and are not responsible for:

  • Interruptions or discontinuation of third-party services
  • Changes to third-party APIs
  • Content on external websites
  • Restrictions on third-party accounts
  • Content removed or modified by third-party service providers

6. Rules of use

You must not:

  • Use HoloCozy for unlawful purposes
  • Attempt unauthorised access to the game or related services
  • Interfere with or damage online infrastructure
  • Bypass security measures, access controls or technical restrictions
  • Use automated systems to place excessive load on game services
  • Extract or misuse authorisation credentials
  • Redistribute, sell, sublicense or commercially exploit unauthorised copies of the game
  • Make false or misleading statements about HoloCozy or Ninth Games
  • Use the game in ways that infringe the rights of other individuals or organisations

This section does not limit rights granted to you by applicable law.

7. Intellectual property

HoloCozy's original software, interface design, systems and original assets are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

Names, characters, artwork, music, trademarks and other licensed assets related to hololive belong to COVER Corporation or their respective rights holders. Inclusion in HoloCozy does not transfer ownership to users.

Other third-party content remains the property of its respective rights holders and is used under applicable licences or permissions.

Unless you have express permission from the relevant rights holder, you must not separately extract, redistribute, sell or commercially exploit licensed assets in the game.

8. Virtual items and game currency

Virtual currency, points, furniture, decorations, characters and other in-game content:

  • Have no cash value
  • Cannot be exchanged for real-world currency
  • Do not constitute legal tender or real-world property
  • Are licensed for use only within HoloCozy
  • May be adjusted through balancing or updates

Virtual items cannot be separately refunded or transferred unless required by applicable law or the relevant platform's refund rules.

9. User content and external links

If HoloCozy allows you to enter calendar text, notes or other content, you are responsible for what you enter.

Do not enter unlawful, infringing or harmful information.

Links opened from HoloCozy may lead to YouTube, Google Calendar or other third-party websites. We do not control their availability or content.

10. Service availability and notifications

We do not guarantee that HoloCozy, online services, livestream notifications, calendar synchronisation, reminders or external links will always be available, uninterrupted, delivered on time or error-free.

Calendar and livestream notifications are convenience features. Do not rely on them as the sole reminder for emergencies, medical matters, legal deadlines, financial obligations or other important matters.

11. Disclaimer

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, HoloCozy and related services are provided “as is” and “as available”.

We do not guarantee continuous uninterrupted operation, compatibility with all devices, complete accuracy of third-party information or continued availability of external services.

Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Ninth Games is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages resulting from:

  • Use of, or inability to use, HoloCozy
  • Loss or modification of saved data
  • Missed notifications or calendar events
  • Third-party services or websites
  • Network, device or platform failures

This limitation does not apply where applicable law does not permit the relevant limitation of liability.

13. Suspension or termination

We may suspend or restrict your use of online features where reasonably necessary to:

  • Protect users or service infrastructure
  • Prevent fraud or abuse
  • Comply with legal or licensing obligations
  • Address violations of these Terms

You may stop using HoloCozy at any time by uninstalling the game and disconnecting related third-party services.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect changes to HoloCozy, applicable law, licensing requirements or third-party services.

Updated Terms will be published on this page with a revised “Last updated” date. Where permitted by applicable law, continuing to use HoloCozy after an update means you accept the updated Terms.

15. Applicable rules

These Terms are subject to laws in jurisdictions relevant to the user and service operator, and to mandatory consumer protection rules.

Nothing in these Terms limits non-waivable rights under applicable consumer laws.
